Meet The Coaches

Matt - The current hitting coach at Bowdoin College and Maine Baseball Hall of Famer, Matt brings experience and knowledge to hitting lessons, teaching, or coaching. Graduating from Cheverus '87, Matt went on to have a successful and record breaking college career at Bowdoin College (Brunswick, Maine). Matt went right into coaching and into the financial world after college where he remains today. The legendary coach teaches life lessons through teachings about the game of baseball.

Chris - Graduating from Cheverus '20 (Class A All-Conference Player), Chris went onto Bates College (Lewiston, Maine) to walk on and then proceed to lead the team in multiple hitting categories while also leading off the field and in the classroom. Chris was a senior captain last season and is going on to continue his education and baseball career at Suffolk University in Massachusetts.

Nate - Graduating from Cheverus '20 (Class A All-Conference Player), Nate went to Saint Michael's College (Colchester, Vermont) where he was named senior captain due to his leadership and work ethic on and off the field. Nate ended his baseball career with a walk off home run against Bentley University on Senior Day at Saint Michael's but continues to coach at the Barrel Barn and with Bowdoin College.

All three coaches ensure that the most important part of baseball/softball is that you have fun. Other very important pieces to the game that are taught during sessions are mental approaches, mechanical fixes, and how maybe sometimes less is more. We want to give back to the game as much as the game has given us.
